Rainbow Six Siege Year 11: Updates, New Operator Solid Snake, and 2026 Seasons. RSS Mobile Release on February 23.

At the Six Invitational tournament, Ubisoft unveiled its Year 11 plans for Rainbow Six Siege. The focus will be on the core 5v5 gameplay, updates to Ranked mode, a new competitive mode, improvements to the R6 ShieldGuard anti-cheat system, and fresh seasonal content. All updates will begin with the release of Season 1: Operation Silent Hunt on March 3.

In Season 1, a new permanent Operator, Solid Snake from the METAL GEAR SOLID series, will be introduced, featuring unique weapons and an intelligence-gathering device. Players will also experience the Redacted event — a limited 4v4 mode — along with exclusive skins for Jackal and Ash, and the special mission “Last Assignment” for series fans.

Season 1 will also add a new two-week 1v1 Arcade mode with short, intense duels, and three updated maps: Oregon, Coastline, and Villa. After the final METAL GEAR SOLID-themed event, the Dual Front mode will be removed. Season 1 will also bring new Ranked map rotations and four balance updates.

Future seasons will introduce new maps, Operators, modes, and the long-term progression system Operator Mastery, along with a new competitive playlist Legend Division and a Social HUB for squad management and player interaction. Season 4 will update the Hostage mode and fully reveal new features.

Additionally, Rainbow Six Siege will launch on mobile devices on February 23, featuring over 20 Operators, iconic maps, and 5v5 modes with drones, barriers, cameras, and traps, including Ranked and Arcade matches.
