North Korea opens its first computer club
North Korea's first club dedicated to video games and cybersports will soon open in Pyongyang's Hwaseong neighborhood. Kim Jong-un, the country's leader, arrived for the club's opening.
This youth-oriented club will be able to accommodate up to 300 players and will offer special training and tournaments.
However, the club currently lacks computers and instead has only pool tables. In addition, there is no public internet access in the country, which makes it difficult for players to interact with cyber athletes from other countries.
