I bought a $20 Google Play gift card but couldn’t redeem it — Google keeps detecting my account as Russian even with a VPN.
The code is unused and valid, yet it will activate only on an account that meets all of the following:

Region & payment profile: United States

Linked US payment method (Visa/Mastercard/PayPal, etc.)

Account already verified with a US address/phone

⚠️ If you’re connecting from Russia via VPN, I can’t guarantee it will work — my own test failed. The card is untouched, so I’m offering it to anyone with a fully verified US Google account.
