Active Matter: PVP review

Active Matter is a dynamic tactical shooter in the first person (FPS), the main unique feature of which is the management of programmable matter (Active Matter). This is not just a tool or skill, but a fundamental mechanic that changes the approach to tactics,
positioning and interaction with the enemy on the battlefield.

Key features of PVP

This is the core of gameplay. Each player has a stock of active matter, which is replenished over time or due to the performance of actions (murder, seizure of points, assistance to the team).

Programmable properties: A player can change the properties of his active matter on the fly (using a wheel of choice or hot keys):
Kinetic blow: matter inflicts increased damage or discards the enemy.
Adhesive mode (Velcro): allows you to temporarily stick to any wall or ceiling for an unexpected angle of attack.
Energy shield: instantly creates a small temporary shield in front of the player, absorbing part of the damage.
Phase shift: for a short moment makes the player translucent and less vulnerable, but not invisible (you can go through it, but you can’t shoot).
Impulse: creates an instant pulse for quick evasion to the side or a sharp jump up.

Interaction with the environment: active matter can be influenced by the map:

Create a temporary bridge or platform.
Pour the passage to block the enemy’s route.
Activate objects on the map (for example,
Strengthen the elevator or open an alternative pass).
Fight (Team Deathmatch): Classic destruction mode. Teams compete in a set of points for the elimination of opponents.

Capture the Flag / Point Control): capture and retention of zones saturated with active matter.
Holding the point allows you to use its resources to strengthen the team (for example, a temporary increase in the rate of replenishment of matter).

Isolation: One team must deliver a valuable sample of active matter to the evacuation point, and the other to prevent them.

Chaos (Chaos Mode): Random modifiers every 2 minutes (for example,
"Gravity is reduced", "all in Velcro mode", "endless supply of matter").

Success does not depend on the pure ability to shoot, but on the competent use of active matter.

Synergy of abilities: combinations of abilities between players solve the outcome of the battle. For example, one player creates a platform, the second with it occupies a height,

Space control: a team that controls key points and modifies a map for itself (blocking some passages and creating others), receives a huge tactical advantage.

Upgrades: pumping perks, weapons and modifications of active matter (increase in stock, reduction of reloading time).

PVP in Active Matter is a high -speed tactical shooter with a deep strategic layer.
It combines the reaction and accuracy of classic FPS with a creative approach and improvisation characteristic of the Like Splitgate games (portals) or Valorant (abilities), but with unique physic-oriented mechanics.
